This antique samovar from Afghanistan is made of copper with a brass handle. The surface of the samovar is covered with intricate details chiselled by hand. The samovar has 2 lids, one to let the smoke out which is generated by the fire under the samovar to keep the tea warm and the second, larger lid (shown in the picture) is to access the water/tea inside the samovar. This is a small samovar and is the size of an average teapot measuring 10 ˝” high x 10” long x 6” wide. These samovars were made and used by the nomads of Afghanistan and are still used in some parts of Afghanistan today. This samovar is in overall good condition but has few small dents on the surface, which can be easily repaired with a small hammer.

Full Description
This antique brass samovar from Afghanistan has intricate carvings, which covers the entire surface of the samovar. The samovar has 2 lids, one to let the smoke out which is generated by the fire under the samovar to keep the tea warm and the second, larger lid (shown in the picture) is to access the water/tea inside the samovar. This is a large samovar measuring 10 ˝” high x 10” long x 6” wide. These samovars were made by skilled Afghan metal smiths and are still used in Afghan teahouses today. The samovar features inscriptions carved on the top, which appear to be in Farsi or Arabic. This is an antique samovar and is in overall good condition with no dents or flaws measuring 28” high x 19” long x 15” wide.
